How pretty is this DIY Bridal Shower Floral Photo Booth Frame? What’s even better it that it’s totally doable to create yourself – even if you’re a busy bride! Simply use faux flowers for a fuss-free project – a store-bought wooden frame is the perfect base to decorate. Don’t you think?!

Perfect for backyard parties and outdoor settings, this portable prop is perfect for photo-ops. Make one or multiple frames – the more the merrier! Even when not in use for photography, these still are super cute decorations – you can even use fishing line and tie them on tree branches. They’ll look as if they are floating, providing you a total fairytale vibe!

STEP 1

Gather materials. You’ll need a mix of faux floral stems, a large wooden open frame (they have selections of these at your local craft store or Home Goods stores), hot glue and scissors. We chose peonies, cherry blossoms and white roses for a romantic, feminine look. Choose flowers and colors that match the theme of your wedding shower! You can also choose the color of your frame – neutral colors like grey, white or even washed wood work the best for natural settings.

STEP 2

Pull the blooms off the floral stems, and cut any excess plastic. If you don’t leave the plastic bottom caps on (as we didn’t), you might have to glue each petal on. We did this to give the flowers a little less depth, so they didn’t stick up out from the frame too much. Each flower is different as well, depending on how it’s put together. Make sure you check each for security and glue petals as necessary.

STEP 3

Choose one of your largest blooms for the corner – use hot glue to fully coat the bottom of the plastic stem and quickly press down firmly on the frame surface.

Check the security and glue petals down if any weren’t caught by the stem. Allow to dry a few minutes. It really helps, for a balanced look, to always keep your largest flowers at the corner of each frame. We recommend, for an organic look, to not replicate exact placement of flowers in each corner. Keep the scale about the same, but use slightly different placements of your flowers for a natural arrangement.

STEP 4

Repeat with smaller flowers, radiating out from the large corner bloom. Check the flowers each time to make sure all petals are securely glued down.

STEP 5

Working outward again, add smaller blossoms in-between the large blooms to fill up any empty space. Small cherry blossoms do the trick!

STEP 6

Small greenery sprigs come in handy for adding depth and dimension. Glue these directly to the frame, hiding the stems under your blossoms from the previous steps. Again, radiate these outward on the frame for balance and pops of color! Green contrasts great against the soft pinks and whites.

After you have completed one corner, move on to the next one – repeating steps 2 through 5.

STEP 7

Once all corners are decorated, check for any empty spots that may have been missed. Fill these with small blooms, like our cherry blossoms, or extra greenery.

Leave ample time for the glue to dry – keep the frame flat on a table for a while before using. If you’re strapped for time, you can create this prop far in advance and store it safely in a closet. The fuss-free faux flowers keep forever! When it’s shower time, simply bring it out and let the photo session start!
